We want to be your jeweler for life.™
If you’re dreaming of a unique piece of jewelry, let us turn your dream into a reality. As the largest jewelry design and manufacturing center in the region, JDC can create any custom piece you desire. We make the process worry free, too, by asking for your input every step of the way. If you don’t absolutely love the results after you get home and wear it, we promise to start over. Keeping you happy is that important to us.
Every custom piece starts with a concept. Bring us your own loose drawing, or let one of our designers sketch your idea as you describe the details.
Once your idea is on paper, one of our designers will build a realistic 3-D computer image of your piece. This visual representation will let you see your design from every angle to make final changes.
Next, we build a hard model of your imagined piece using an advanced 3-D prototype printer. It stacks microscopic layers of wax/resin compound to create a replica that you can actually wear to see how the finished piece will look and feel.
Once you’re satisfied with the replica, it’s time to cast the mold. We pour an investment—a material similar to plaster but more heat resistant—overtop a wax model and allow it to harden. Heat is then used to melt and remove the wax, leaving a hollow impression for casting.
JDC’s advanced casting machine uses electricity to melt precious metal and avoid impurities. The metal is then injected using a high-pressure argon gas to eliminate air, for higher metal density.
After casting, your final piece is smoothed and polished. Precious stones are carefully mounted. Then it’s off to final polishing and multi-step cleaning for a sparkle that’s sure to match the one in her eyes.
Creating a custom jewelry design from paper to polishing can be hard to imagine. So take a look at this example of how we preserved a customer’s precious memories by using elements from older jewelry to make an exquisite new piece.
We have jewelry professionals ready to help.
